Hundreds of foodies were treated to a unique taste of Tuscany in Israel at a four hands chef dinner, sponsored by Acqua Panna and hosted at Claro restaurant in Tel Aviv earlier this month.
Israeli chef and restaurant owner Ran Shmueli was joined in his kitchen by guest chef, Italian Vito Mollica from Michelin starred “Il Palagio” restaurant at five starFour Seasons Hotel in Florence, for the “Tuscan Nights” dinner re-creating the beloved flavours of Italy with a unique Tuscan inspired menu.
A spectacular line up of dishes included Italian favourites like stone oven focaccia, Italian charcuterie, veal cheek vitello tonnato, burrata tortellini and bistecca alla Fiorentina with classic favourites like tiramasu to finish.
Although the menu might have been a long way from the rolling Tuscan hills, the “farm to table” philosophy shone through as key ingredients were sourced from a special farm in exclusive collaboration with chef Shmueli.
