S.Pellegrino Young Chef 2018

This week at Fine Dining Lovers was all about the S.Pellegrino Young Chef 2018 competition, which ended with the Grand Finale in Milan.

Japanese chef Yasuhiro Fujio beat out 20 other chefs  to become this year’s S.Pellegrino Young Chef. The chef also won the Acqua Panna Taste of Authenticity Award.

The grand jury, aka the Seven Sages, was composed of seven of the world’s top chefs: Dominique Crenn, Margarita Forés, Virgilio Martinez, Ana Ros, Annie Feolde, Brett Graham and Paul Pairet.

Introducing Camille Cogswell

This week we also had the chance of interviewing pastry chef Camille Cogswell, who whips up phenomenal sweets at the Philadelphia-based Israeli restaurant Zahav.

Cogswell was recently named the 2018 Rising Star at the James Beard Foundation Awards. She opened up to FDL about the meaning of this accolade, her passion, and desires moving forward.
